Jeff could not make up his mind which bs .. I mean bio.. to use- so I have posted both of them.

About Jeff ~ Born many millenia ago, I am a product of the Sun Goddes Daphne and the god of Medicine Hippocrates.  I walk the Earth as a mortal, yet I am immortal.  I can not be killed by mortal weapons, and only by decree of the god Zeus can I be slain by another god.  I heal with a touch of my hand, and there is no illness that I can not reverse with my book of spells and bottle of ointment.  I have brought forth health and life to the Earth since time eternal, and I am revered by those who know my name...I am "Quixanadophan."

I grew up in the midwest, and went to college.  After working in Sports Physical Therapy for a few years, I was talked (conned?) into taking a EMT class.  I loved it from the start, and stuck with it.  I finished paramedic school, and promptly moved to Atlanta.  I work for Grady Hospital EMS, a hospital based service that provides 9-1-1 coverage to the entire city limits of Atlanta.  I have worked in the Critical Care Transport setting, and also worked as a Field Training Officer for a short time.  I fill my "off time" by writing case reviews for Peachtree Street, Alaska EMS, various Power Point Presentations, and hope someday to get a journal article published.  I avoid management roles at all costs, and would be perfectly happy being a street medic for another 20 years.  Feel free to contact me if you ever want to talk EMS.

The smart whippersnapper.

Participating:

These case studies are designed to be interactive. While you may confine yourself to only reading the cases, the educational benefits are much greater if you participate with questions and comments via the list server.  Case studies will be presented approximately each 3 weeks and a message will be sent to those on the list when a new one is posted.   Old cases will be archived.

To fully participate, you will need to join the email list server.  This list server is monitored so that exchanges remain pertinent  to the cases and email does not stray from the purpose and become a burden for any participant.  ALL participants agree to be civil and behave in a professional manner.

After reading a case study you may comment via list server or simply read the remarks from others.  At the end of the question and comment period, Jeff will post a summary, rationale and patient outcomes ~ when they are known.
